Jay Darby – author, photographer, and a bit of a sports tragic…
Originally from the NSW south coast in Australia, Jay is now based between Sydney and Bangkok. Crime fiction is his favourite genre – he believes in writing what you know. He also enjoys writing about travel, and through his work has been fortunate to journey to over 80 countries across six continents.
Jay retired as a Senior Sergeant after almost twenty years in law enforcement, during which he worked in a diverse range of fields – Tactical Response Squad, Plain Clothes Investigator, Dignitary Protection, General Duties First Response, Riot Squad, Crime Co-ordinator, and Field Intelligence Operative.
One of his main passions and goals is the safety and protection of children, particularly against human traffickers and other such predators. The themes and plot of Jay’s latest novel, BIG WHITE LIES, deal with the international problem of child sex-trafficking, and he hopes that the book will in some way bring much needed attention to the terrible crimes being committed against children on a daily basis.
BIG WHITE LIES is a crime thriller set primarily in the Australian Outback.
Thanks for dropping by, and may the world be your oyster…
Best wishes in regards to Big White Lies……
