Human trafficking in Thailand – let’s end the exploitation of children

This week in the coastal resort town of Pattaya in Thailand, local police rounded up street beggars suspected of using children who are not their own.

Sadly, the exploitation of young children by beggars hoping to evoke sympathy from tourists is a popular tactic. The adult beggars themselves are often controlled by organised crime syndicates. This form of human trafficking is prevalent in Thailand, and across South East Asia. If you see it, please report it to local authorities.
